Virginia Beach Businessman Rides Motorcycle Cross-Country To Raise $100,000 For The American Cancer Society

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – April 29, 2010
Anthony B. Jernigan, CEO and President of The Pinnacle Group, will be riding a 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Guide motorcycle from Indian Wells, CA to Randleman, NC with the 16 Annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride. The trip of 3,500 miles will begin on May 1 and he will arrive at Randleman on May 9th. He is flying to CA on Thursday, April 29th. He is paying for all of his expenses and 100% of all money donated will go towards The American Cancer Society. He is committed to raising $100,000 or more through contributions and endowments.
Anthony Jernigan has some experience with cancer. His mom is a double mastectomy cancer survivor. In 1987 he was by his dad in the hospital while his dad passed away from lung cancer. |
Anthony has three friends in stage 4 cancer right now. After his dad passed away, Anthony decided to join the race for life against cancer by riding his bicycle cross-country and raising $72,000 for the American Cancer Society in 2000. This week, 10 years later, Anthony is again going to continue the race for life against cancer by riding his motorcycle cross-country and dedicating it to his parents.
